Update

I took a chance and got one of our members to provide a new VCC. Once PP got the code I received a message "The phone location confirmation has been cancelled" I didn't have a clue what that meant so sent an email telling them that they were free to telephone me anytime they want. No reply but the limits were lifted 3 days later. Maybe it WAS to do with the fact that the VCC had expired. Whatever - I've emptied the account just in case.
