Created a UK stealth PayPal account
 

Right guys,

I've created a stealth PayPal account with a completely different name. an accessible mobile number and a random realistic address. Now i have a Santander account which will be linked to the PayPal account. However is there anything else i am missing and should be aware of? Also i will require a UK AVS VCC to verify the account correct?

Not with Santander .

Something like that I would mention at once.

Lots of glitches with paypal UK. That may delay everything too.

Santander is fine for stealth.

Other factors you need to consider:-

1. How will you handle returns if you have no access to the address?

2. Do you plan on taking more than £1900 on the account? If so, consideration needs to be given to removing the receiving limit. This can only be lifted (on stealth accounts) by submitting docs.

Do you mean £1900 a month, or £1900 in total? Also does AVS VCC verification not lift this limit? If not, what documents does UK Paypal actually ask for. As far as i was aware they were not asking for any documents?

£1900 per annum. They will request docs once you hit £1650.

VCC does nothing apart from confirm the address.

The ask for photo ID and utility bill.

They will ask for the docs when you try to lift the receiving limit.

Does PayPal UK send a pin to the address to confirm anything? Read this in a thread here.

They do in a small % of cases when you click the Request Higher Selling Limits link.

It is showing how there are glitches within the system

i been looking at the official paypal forum and quite a few are getting the same issue and all dated recently some quite while ago , looks like i will need to call and hope they add my new bank

Occasionally, but out of the last 20 accounts I have made and had running for the last 3 months I have not needed to get a pin to any of them

Quite a few users expressed this same problem - calling seems one solution until this kink gets worked out.

I've just come up against this.

I have just added a bank account to my stealth paypal account and now it's asking for ID documentation to remove the receiving limit. Why is this?

As GB has said it's to conform with EU money laundering regulations.

Your details cannot be electronically confirmed because the account is stealth so they require documents to be sent in to remove the limit.
