I've got a Barclays Saver (in my real name and address) attached to my stealth account. I was always under the impression that if the account is receiving payments from paypal (as opposed to anyone trying to take money out) then it wouldn't matter if the name on the paypal account doesn't match the bank account - and this seems to be true so far.

A few weeks ago, I got a bit carried away and paypal had to take some money out of the linked bank account - which in theory shouldn't happen, surely Barclays should have spotted the mismatched name?? But I was lucky, nothing seems to have happened and everything is running as normal.

Does the surname on PP account not have to be the same as surname on PP bank account?

Nope.

The name can be completely different.

Is Co-Op bank still really good for mismatch name deposits from a PayPal account?

I will have 1 stealth so the name will always be the same

Thank you
