does a PayPal ban cover the whole house?
 

As we all know if the husband is banned from eBay so us the wife's separate account.
Is that the same for PayPal?

So if the husbands account is banned, the the wife's separate account banned?

It is POSSIBLE...accounts have gone down due to address and IP links...not always automatic but possibly...

Sometime you will get away with it, other times both accounts will go down. Its really all down to the the strength of the accounts.

Is the account that your wife is operating selling all the same items that you were selling, or is it totally different ?

It all depends. If you wife was just buying things and your account was banned because they didn't like what you were selling, then your wife's account might survive as a buyer account. The same thing goes for anyone at that address.

However, let's say you were banned for selling counterfeit merchandise and then your wife tried to sell the same thing - the account would be closed very quickly.

When PayPal bans an account, they do so because they feel it represents a risk. If they feel other household account represent the same risk, they will close those accounts. If they do not feel the other accounts are risky, they will leave them alone. I would THINK (I do not know this for a fact) that those accounts would be under heightened scrutiny.

Mostly depends on the reasons for the paypal to be limited. If the husband got a never want to do business again letter from paypal, an associated account may be limited as well.
