Default Paypal Limited Release Funds Confusion

I had a Paypal Account Limited with some money in it about a month ago.

It failed the Receiving Limit ID check.

Over the weekend I received the email below.

It is quite confusing. On logging on, no funds are available to withdraw, and all are in reserve.

The email suggests funds are available for withdrawal.

Can anyone decipher this nonsense please?

"We're holding funds in reserve to cover any possible account liabilities because of your account limitation. We'll review your account on a monthly basis and will release your funds between 30 and 180 days. You can see the details of these funds when you log in to your PayPal account. Click Pending Balance from the Account Overview.

You have funds available to withdraw. You can transfer this directly to your bank account.

Reserve Amount

£227.19 GBP

To access released funds, log in to your account to make a withdrawal. You can withdraw funds to your bank account.
If you have funds owing because of a limitation, we may try to cover money owed to us from the reserve amount.

Yours sincerely,
PayPal"

Check every 30 days.

Chances are the whole lot will be released 30 days from now.

Yeah I have had this. It went from saying I could get it after 45 days, then it changed to that message you had. 2 months and still yet to get the funds available...

I am not desperate for the cash but it is annoying.

Like everything else I'll just have to wait it out.

donkey'

rahter than give you the parting of the ways and wait 180 days, paypal have given you a variation.

All funds are in reserve but have the chance of release as paypal chooses.

They state the funds may be in reserve for up to 180 days, but can release amounts on a 30 day basis.

Some users have not had to wait out the full 180 days & got their funds sooner.

Chargebacks are about the only hold-up with releases.

Hope that helps.

The account has had only about 6 Transactions.

No Disputes, Claims or Chargebacks yet. I don't expect any.

4 Feedback on the EBay account.

It's chicken feed, on my first real account I had 12k tied up for 6 months!!!

These factors get taken into account with this type of limitation.

Keep checking monthly or so & expect good news.

2-3 months ago I had £500 limit in a UK PayPal, I was told on the limitation email that this was a permanent limitation, however, this would be reviewed every 30 days for funds to be released.

30 days later £430 was released and the rest still pending.

Let us know what happens in 30 days.

As promised here is an update.

The entire amount of £200 plus was released today.

That's roughly 60 days after the Paypal account was limited.
