PayPal UK limited after missing call
 

Seems i must have received a call from PayPal this morning and missed it, lo and behold the account is now limited
Now they haven't requested any info, do you think they will ring back or am i looking at trying to contact them and see whats up.

I withdrew some money last night, so think it might have been a call confirming this, the account is 6mths old and fully verified with nolimits and has been working well.

What sort of £ value was the withdraw?

Any messaages left on voicemail or any emails?

withdrawal was 50 pounds with money left in the balance, no emails whatsoever i only found out when a user from Belgium contacted me via eBay saying he was getting an error reading as 'buyer is currently not accepting payments' when attempting to complete a 15 pound purchase.

I have only now received an automated email after i have contacted them with the case ID, it's not asking for any documents when i login or any steps to complete either.

EDIT: oh and i now don't think i missed a call, as the number seems to belong to a PPI company:fight:

When you log into the paypal what does the first screen say?

I got the exact same thing on my 3 paypal accounts funnily enough on the same day as you

Ive no emails from them nothing but it says they need more info but it doesn't say what.

Mine are all stealth accounts.

so I guess phoning is the only option.

phoned them today , they said they think my paypal account is linked to others.

They said it will be reviewed and I will get an email in 24 hours. Not too optimistic on this.

so they just steal your money then if you cannot remove the limitation??

After 180 days you'll be able to withdraw your money.

If paypal tell the user they are parting company, then funds should be released.

It's no longer a given it will happen.


Going to come down to what paypal says if it terminates the account.

Guys, I also got this message on one of my Paypal accounts, came out of the blue! I am puzzled! And on the same date as well, 15th November. But obviously it happened to a few of us, hm I wonder what's going on!!

Yeah, I'm interested too as I've had this on one of my accounts today too. I left the money in for a good few weeks. Initially withdrew a small amount (£14) to make sure the bank received it okay before withrdawing £150 and leaving £60 in the account a week later.

Was the account bought? I had this message and limitation on a bought account after it was linked to another random person whose account was limited made by the seller, which sucked ass to be honest!

mine got appealed limitation call and i manage to restore it bbut they asked for ID

Hi, this happened to me as well, on over a year old stealth account fully confirmed, i did receive a call but missed it, then few days later account limited ,

i did a search on the number 02089732112 and few say it is from PayPal

guess i need to ring them up and hope for the best

The issue is nothing to do with missing a call from Paypal.

Don't phone them if it states that the limitation cannot be appealed against as you will be wasting your time. They will either do nothing or ask you for a pile of documents after which the decision will be the same.

The account is gone. Wait for your money to be released and move on.

Hi, ok thanks for that info, it doesnt say i cant appeal, it just says limited, i have a bank account attached to it, and have funds in PayPal, so now do noting and wait 180 days to withdrew ?

i see quite a few getting same issues

If there are no steps to complete then the account is gone.

Yes, I'd personally just wait for the money. Phoning up might result in them making requests for documents / information that you are unable to provide.

i bought account from here over a year ago with ID, guess i could get a new ID done , but like i been told im wasting my time, guess rather call and hear what they say aint gonna make any difference

Depends on how much time you want to put in, true uscool - and how much money in there....otherwise wait it out

The issue is the chance of rejection of fresh documents.

It has nothing to do with time.

The issue is what paypal will do.

And since you do not know, be prudent in your suggestions.

Did they say in their limitation that you would need to provide proof of identity on the 180th day?

Not a given nowadays that you will get your money.

no just says need to confirm identity , everything was confirmed over a year ago, never had any issues, and aint called them yet ,
