Dont get the two mixed up...

Bank verifys
VCC confirms

I use halifax savers with no probs though others have reported probs.
Savers are not a good as real bank accounts. They will fail the direct debit mandate but can still be withdrawn to :-)

Re: santander to confirm

Just to reiterate halo's words adding a bank account verifies the paypal, adding a VCC confirms it

Thank you both!
Would I be better to remove santander and add new Halifax savers?.
Savers never used on PayPal,but current account it is under is linked

Re: santander to confirm

No you don't remove the Santander, that works perfectly for stealth account verifying, you do need a VCC as well which confirms the account, is this an account you have created yourself? if so you can get an Entropay VCC by registering on their website or you can buy a VCC off here, if you bought your stealth account from one of the stealth account sellers on here they would have provided you with a VCC

Bank savings accounts do not always work with stealth accounts and are a little more difficult for new people to operate

Phone santander who will probably give you the code.
Keep your halifax savers for another account :-)

When you mention that the DD mandate fails what are the implications of this?

For example, I want to avoid opening any further bank acc for the time being and have only a santander online saver and halifax online saver available to use. I prefer to use the santander online saver but have never tried this method as I usually use actual accounts. No actual acc's are available for now due to them being linked to my original PP acc which is long gone.

You say the online savers can still be withdrawn to but what happens? With the DD failing does this simply mean PP are unable to dip into the acc should they need to (Which we all know is something to avoid anyway). Or am I missing something?

Also, phoning the bank to ask for the code so you can verify PP - surely this may raise alarms with the bank as they may well see that this smal PP installment/code has been sent to a random name and not the original account holders name?

Sorry for all the q's, the whole online acc saver thing has got me worried. Don't want to ruin any new PP & EB acc's but also do not want to continue opening so many bank acc's.

Ive not.suffered any.implications of using savers. Always pay your fees in advance though as of you didnt have funds in pp or on your vcc then they.couldnt go into bank.....spelling trouble :-)

Dont worry about phoning bank. They are used to people asking for paypal codes so you really dont need to worry :-)

Basically. Yes, it stops that

it also give you a red flag in your account but I've never noticed any difference with using savers to current , the only advantage for having a current account is you can use the card which helps pass the limitation without review, but like wise savers also have an advantage over current.
