Default information about managed payments triggers thread

This is to share info about your accounts that were and were not asked to join managed payments...

Information gathered:

One account that was top rated a year ago,no longer top rated with 2.5 years age was invited.

Another account that is top rated and it just started selling again on and listed like 15 things and sold 1k was invited

5 other accounts that were created within 6 months times with only 3-5 feedback sales are not invited

Another account sold 8k on and not top rated I think BC tracking wasn't uploaded and maybe a couple defects, aged acc of over 3 years did not get invited

2 other accounts with 2 years age were not invited and has 3-5k sales until march/april

Share your knowledge and help out everyone

I don't think it's mandatory by this year July yet.

I was led to believe it'll be another year or 2 before they roll it out completely

I've had my top rated account invited to pre register on march 31st.

My side accounts are above average but not have been invited.

Eventually they will all need to be moved over to mp, if not by july by this holiday szn.

I'm starting to think its top rated status who mostly got the urgent mp message or maybe its a threshold on sales amount

There isn't a completely definitive pattern, but top rated/2+ years registered on eBay increases the likelihood of getting the invite.

Some accounts that fit that criteria are being forced in July. They are not rolling over all accounts into MP in July. I'd be surprised if they do it before 2021 for every account.

For US sellers,it is July 15th,but not for other countries.
I have been with Ebay since 1990s when total listings were 30,000,and listing fee is 5 cents, but I was recently asked to sign up.
There is an agreement between Ebay and Paypal, when it spun off Paypal and one day decided to go or invite another processor,it cannot pull everyone out of Paypal in one big scoop.
This is a good reason why some are invited earlier and some later.
i think either UK or Canada will be next.
One way to find out for sure is to check your listing, come July 15 thyou would not have the option of specifying Paypal with your Paypal email address

'invite' is no longer a word used by Ebay, the email I received just say go and register.
buyer can still pay us with Paypal via MP,but sellers do not ,MP would be our only option.
Whatever happens to talk of APPLE Pay,Google Pay?

I have probably over about 30 ebay accounts I don't always use all of them. I have only received the MP message on 1. I will post tomorrow more info age, sales, etc of accounts.
I was able to update the name on the 1 account but unsure on how to proceed.
