Default Managed payments Forbidden items list

I found this on ebays website I guess we can only use paypal with selling these items I have no idea what do u guys think. Now I see why I didn't get the email for my ebay account s

What is the policy?

Sellers enrolled in managed payments are not allowed to list the following items:

Adult only items, including movies and video games
Airline, rail, and cruise tickets
Auction services
Bullion
Coins & paper money
Event tickets
Gift cards & coupons
Lodging, timeshares, vacation packages, and car rentals
Memberships for campground and RV parks
Motor vehicles
Wine

Listings that don't follow these rules may be removed from the site or from search results. Other actions we may take include lowering a seller's rating, charging additional fees, limiting buying and selling privileges, or suspending an account.
Why does eBay have this policy?

When eBay manages the end-to-end payments experience, there are additional restrictions on what items can be sold. We are working to expand the types of items allowed by sellers in managed payments, and ensure we are compliant to support them in the future.

But if yOu are not invited, can you still use Paypal to accept payment?
If Ebay removes Paypal as payment option, you cant list on EBAY?
-----------------
I can understand motor vehicles, this is a special category and sellers prefer non electronic payment altho they would accept a down payment via Paypal.
but gold buillion, paper money and coin??
so what should all these big precious metal dealers do?they are selling gold coin, gold bar, gold buillion on EBAY?

Doesn't sound like paypal is being removed anytime soon.
They cant remove it before Managed payments is FULLY implemented for ALL ebay accounts - and that should take a few years at best.
So seems like the simple solution to avoid having to enroll in Managed Payments until that time would be to have one small auction always running for a $2 discount 'coupon' for some obscure service. Price it higher than the face value so it is never bought and is always running.

Hopefully this will be a back door for useing paypal. I sell in most of these areas so hopefully the ppl will be safe for a little bit. I think this is why most ppl didn't get the stupied invite. the one bad thing is. I think ebay will eliminate these Categories in the next few years it really sux there trying to be like Amazon but Amazon dont sell cool stuff like ebay Amazon is just a better Walmart and that's is not trying to hurt anyone feelings that sells on there.

after reading the list a second time,I can understand why?
These are either controversial, high risk ,counterfeits, illegal items for any payment processor.
vacation rental,airline ticket,auction services?
gift cards,coupons? -

I think paper and coin must be currency ,not collectibles.
It does make sense,Ebay and Paypal never like us selling US Dollars and get paid in US dollars or other currencies.
As for the others, they can be controversial like vacation rental, how do you prove you have delivered?ailine, concert tickets?
auction services.
these are also 3-4 figures transactions.
surprise they did not mention catering, plumbing, drywall, massage, yoga lessons,IT work?
tutoring?

Ayden has been in place for more than a year now,a few sellers were selected for Beta testing and more were invited to join.
I would say by now 90% of US ebay sellers are in the program, could be more since the deadline is July 15.
Most sellers have no problems, some love it,some just put up with it.
If you sell something as described and buyers are happy, you should have no problem with MP.
I have to sign up recently,I dont expect any problem, try not to sell anything controversial, use your good judgment

Youd say 90% of US seller are in the program? And MORE by July 15th? maybe $120% will be in it by then? what sort of nonsense are you spewing here? Where are you even coming up with those figures? what are you basing that on?
Dude if you don't have anything concrete to say then don't say it. Spreading false information is far worse than saying nothing at all.
The fact of the matter is the majority of people are NOT in it at the moment and this July 15th 'deadline' is for a select few HEAVY sellers and ESTABLISHED seller accounts (many with TRS status) that have been asked to join.
NOBODY knows when this thing will rolled out for the rest of the ebay community. Nobody knows if it even will be the way things stand at the moment.
My advice to everybody is to just take a step back and relax - and that includes all the 'chicken little' types screaming about the 'sky falling'.

Pretty sure MP is going to be implemented a lot earlier than everyone expected. All of my Canadian accounts received MP invite. It seems like they are definitely not willing to wait another 2 years to implement it.

What are they asking on Canadian accounts? Obviously not the SSN.

What is the big deal, everyone knows it is coming,as far as I know and I know more than you, inside infor, most sellers have signed up,by choice or by force.
you see they are still using Paypal but they have signed up.
You are a loser if you keep denying, good luck selling on other venues

dont know, they are asking UK sellers now,it looks like after US,UK is next, then Canada?
Ebay will make good money there, transaction fee, discount rate, currency conversion,FVF on item, shipping AND sales tax.
but what do Canadians use as national ID?

Wasn't talking to you pal. was talking to a Canadian who mentioned Canadian accounts. No disrespect but HE would have more knowledge about handling HIS Canadian accounts than you would.
You seriously need to cut down on the caffeine and red bull. And you might want to tone down the insults as well.

No hurt feelings, Amazon are evil and I'm glad Trump banned the other Amazon marketplaces like the UK to sell items into the US
