Facts from past experience with PayPal:

PayPal reports the 1099 information to the IRS. The IRS informs PayPal that it is invalid. PayPal then requires you to update and/or verify the information you provided or your account will be closed. Upon your failure to satisfy their requirements, PayPal closes your accounts.

I would assume that the same would happen with an MP account exceot that you would also loose your eBay account.

The IRS absolutely CAN subpoena PP/eBay/Ayden for your account information based on the 1099 mismatch and your failure to rectify it.

From there the IRS absolutely CAN subpoena your banking records.

From there the IRS absolutely CAN make your life hell.


Suggestion:

The fact that you needed to have all of this spoon-fed to you leads me to strongly suggest to you that you forget the idea of using a stealth SSN.

In this case, each stealth SSN has a lifespan of one tax cycle because after being reviewed the 1099k will be rejected.

Unfortunately we won't see that until next year as nobody has been getting issued a 1099 this year.
