MPORTANT NOTICE from eBay Managed Payments - Your Action is Needed
 

On June 23-rd many US MP accounts were required to provide an ID and a bank statement to validate verification process. Any ideas what might cause such behavior from eBay side? Unpaid funds on the balance were placed on hold until ID is submitted.

were these accounts registered with real details? did they have a valid name/address/DOB and SSN on file with ebay?

I bet the accounts did not pass the online SSN verification

Real ssn and DOB. I suppose mp will require id from everyone sooner or later.

How old are these accounts? What kind of monthly $ volume?

are these personal accounts? it sounds rather odd , there are lots of US sellers here who have been running volumes for many months without being asked for ID , I think there must be a problem in the personal details of these accounts

additionally ebay would not usually send a message asking to upload an ID as the only option to proceed but they send a message saying that the identity could not be verified and the details must be corrected. and if everything is correct they ask to upload an ID

did you receive this message saying that they could not verify? I think it is likely that the details on file are stealth or not complete

My Canadian account also received the same message,how long does it take to know the result after uploading the ID and bank statement?

stealth account,but when register MP,change the account holder name to real person and add a real Canada bank account.Sold one item and get the payout successfully.

sorry I don't understand , is it registered to real name , address and DOB?

you wrote stealth in the beginning but then wrote it was changed to real , it sounds like it is a personal ebay account registered with stealth details

I am sure this TO's accounts are stealth as well , it would be highly unlikely for someone for have many US accounts with completely genuine details of different people and be picked out for doc check while others with genuine details are not touched

I admit it is illegal, but these laws are unenforceable mostly for non-US residents and eBay never reports such behavior for initiating prosecution.

I wish I was wrong. But as we can see on this forum, only few people received that email. They are running accounts don’t match their country (if they are using correct flag). So I think real IP leaked cause this issue.

Same message been sent to UK accounts in the past few days as well.the upload link even in US ebay,How funny this is. Its a war to third-party payment processor.I doubt we ll get those accounts back to work.no matter the ID is stealth or genuine.Its not about ID or IP.Its about the bank account.

yes , some third party accounts were blacklisted by ebay. I assume that they can be reinstated if bank account is exchanged for an unrestricted one. my guess is that ebay want to see if there are sellers among the restricted accounts who are based in another country and can not use local bank accounts for payouts

I got the same message from ebay. I changed account info to a real person and uploaded the real ID. The account has then been suspended. The ebay CS told that ID verification has been passed whereas the bank has not. And it does not allow me to change the bank account as the decision is the final.

it is because of payoneer. It is likely they want to see a bank statement from a local bank and will not allow payoneer and several other virtual account types anymore.

why were using it anyway if you are based in the UK?
