Does eBay send a 1099-k if you exceed $20k across all accounts with same SSN?

Or is it $20k per account? For example, if you have 4 individual stealth accounts, you upgrade them all to MP using the same SSN, will ebay send a 1099-k if you do $5k on each of the 4 accounts = $20k total revenue? Or only on the ones where you did $20k on a single account?

It's too soon to say, honestly. My guess would be no.

For what it's worth you also need more than 200 transactions for the 1099k obligation, for now.

It is impossible to know yet. When I inquired they could not say. You can on;y have five accounts in one SS number without going the EIN rout so it seems they could be combining.

Keep in mind, next year it it $600 so you might want to start planning now for January 1st 2022.

since 1099K goes by SSN,I would expect Ebay/MP to send you one 1099k .
The only way to go around it is to list your items on another venue,say AMZN,Bonanza or Etsy .
Say you sold 199 transactions and 18K on AMZN,180 transactions and 15K on Ebay,you will not get a 1099K from either one.,

combined total must be $20K AND 200 transactions.

My question: Regarding this years transaction...before signing up to MP there were transactions made to attached Paypal for a few months (jan-April).
Now after I signed to MP will the 1099k included only the MP transactions or also the paypal ones?

From my understanding, your 1099 from paypal is separate from your 1099 from eBay MP.

Therefore, I would think it is only the MP transactions will be included in that eBay 1099

So, you can confirm from ebay reps that 5 accounts to one ssn is kosher now without a doubt?

Im curious why that number when it used to be around 2.

MP would not know or care what you have with another payment processor,be it Paypal,AMZN one click,square ,etsy etc.
It is up to you to round up all the 1099k and report to IRS
