Issues with managed payments refunds
 
I seem to be the only person having this issue. When I go to refund a buyer using MP, it tells me "Your refund couldn't go through". My bank is already successfully hooked up to eB payments, I have received payouts, I have pending payouts, Ive tried using a prepaid VISA (ebay says they couldn't verify the card), Ive tried directly linking a PP (doesn't work), nothing seems to work.

The only way it worked is I had to request a CS rep to step in to manually force a refund, which will probably result in a defect on my account. But since my struggles w the refund has been documented and I actually requested Ebay to force the refund, Im hopeful my appeal will go smoothly

Anyone else had this issue? How did you fix it? What was causing the issue in the first place?

did the buyer open a case via Ebay?
is there anything to return?
How did you try to refund?via order details?

The closest I've had to this issue is almost every time I go to send a refund, the page "expires" immediately and I get a message up top telling me to refresh the page because my session has expired. Sending the refund hasn't been an issue. Have you tried using the "cancel order" option instead of the "send refund" option?

you have to find the order ,then choose refund.

i would call ebay, just be smooth if its a stealth account, have everything written down in front of you. sometimes they have a glitch in the system.

On 2 of my accounts, the glitch persists. I have no idea why. I simply cannot refund the buyer from within the return request he created

On another account, the buyer messaged me before opening a return. To preempt the return, I went to my order book, and manually canceled/refunded the order from there. No issues. Ill have to pay attention in the future if this works again ( preemptive refunding/canceling, and/or canceling the order from the individual order screen should the return actually be created)

Hope this helps anyone who has this issue going forward. Although it seems to only apparently be happening to me
