It is not IRS,it is the person whose SSN you are using,once again,you have not told us how much money is on that 1099,if his income is low that he pays no taxes and that 1099 $ takes him to a level which he should,then IRS will send him a letter.
If he does have income and file return and your 1099k push him to a higher bracket,he could get an audit.
IRS does not know you,all they see is that 1099K paypal or ebay or amzn sent them and they save it under his SSN on its computer.

Even changing the SSN to my own wont work.

I just tried it but the account has been suspended and it will not allow me to change information

You never can change the information on suspended accounts until after your resolve all issues.

OP - eBay's latest announcement confirms that you will not be affected by this for 2021.

Ive come to the conclusion that for the banned accounts that will be sent any 1099 there is nothing you can do about it since you are not able to change the account information once there is a restriction on the account.

Would just have to let it ride and see what happens. Hopefully nothing bad comes of it.

I had to split a 1099k with my lady's paypal in 2021. Can't remember what H&R Block did but they figured it out and I ended up paying all of it, and they were able to split the the earnings between us.

I wonder what happens in the case of an LLC ein getting a 1099 that was no longer sctive for the tax year. If you cant change the tax ID # after being banned.

How about the obvious. Changing your EIN# at the end of the year, according to this discussion, places a 'kink' in the process in reporting gross sales to .Gov?
I don't think so. Adyen will just send it with the SS# instead...case closed.
If they get a notice from .Gov tell them that you were selling off jewelry (at A loss) you bought over the years. Read a book and learn.

The 1099K will be issued to whatever number you gave them last.
If the number does not match the name exactly they issue a w9 in 6-9 months. You then have until a certain day in December that changes every year. Two years ago was December 20th. Last year was December 9th.

This is facts.

But 2022 is altogether a new beast. A matching number/name is required before starting to sell with Adyen now.

Adyen has the database to know if the EIN# matches the LLC name?
Is there a way to find the name of the owner of the S corp/C corp or sole proprietor LLC? I know it's public knowledge to get the list of LLC businesses under ONE S Corp owner...Who is this owner is what I want.

I don't think they have that information. Otherwise, they wouldn't send you a 1099 mismatch from the government. They could literally answer the IRS with what you have given them instead of contacting you. There are paid services for EIN and you can search through the IRS database. It would take a lot of time to grab all of this information for them. I dont think they worry about it as long as your bank and ssn match.

Could they get LLC information? Absolutely. They simply can do a search on the Secretary of State website for said state.

Yes and No. A lot depends on account creation. For one very simple example, If you have a Hold company hold your LLCs in a great state such as WY, it is extremely hard for anyone other than the IRS to determine who owns your companies because one company owns another company and little or no registry and zero tie to an individuals name.

There is many ways of being incognito but for ebay and amazon etc.... it is absolutely not needed.
