I don't really understand why people get scared over a cease and desist letter. It's been used in the legal system as a tactic to scare the sh*t out of people. It won't hold up in the court of law if they were to sue you, as they DO NOT have proof that you were selling "counterfeit goods," unless they were to purchase from you.

I highly doubt they bought items from you, there are HUNDREDS of listings on ebay and it would be impossible for them to check each and every item. If they don't have solid evidence that you were selling foofoo items, then I would hold that threat with a grain of salt.

Burning is correct. However, be aware that undercover buyers ARE out there. While most people will never end up having an undercover buyer purchase from them it CAN and DOES happen.

Selling counterfeit goods can be dangerous. Especially to newbies who stumble upon DHgate and think it is easy money.

BUYER BEWARE always.
