Making the switch to Shipstation

I've been using Stamps.com but I'm ready to switch to shipstation. I've heard plenty of good things about it. It seems to have a better interface and fits my needs.

I have a few questions first. Just being overly cautious.

1.When you sign up is it safe to use your real information?
2.Can you use banned ebay/paypal info to sign up? (email address, phone number, first/last name ect.)
3. Can I link my FedEx, UPS, DHL shipping accounts without getting linked? (will this info be shown to ebay/paypal, raise any flags, same info across accounts can be bad of course)

I was wondering because the Shipstation Privacy Page shows this...

"TO WHOM WE DISCLOSE PERSONAL INFORMATION

We take your privacy very seriously. None of the information that is collected by ShipStation is rented or sold to any third parties for any purpose. Limited information may be shared with a third party that has partnered with ShipStation if that information is protected under a confidentiality obligation with that third party and is used only as a part of providing the ShipStation service to the customer. We reserve the right to disclose information when required by law."

So as long as eBay/PayPal says they will keep the information confidential Shipstation will/can share it??? Worries me...

I know a lot of people are using it without any problems without getting linked. I also seen a post from jeffweico saying he only links one important eBay and Amazon Account to one Shipstation Account just to be safe (that post was back in 2014).

What luck are you guys having in 2017? Please provide answers to my questions above if possible. Thanks guys!

Information is generally shared with Marketing purposes, not verification/police purposes. I've been using SS with 8+ accounts and no issues so far.

I'm not sure what you mean in your first sentence.

I have 15 eBay, 8 etsy, and 2 Amazon Stealth accounts linked with SS and I have not had any problems. I signed up using info from a stealth acct, and I did not have any problems.

Yes, I have signed up with real info and then added accounts. PLEASE BE AWARE when you generate the token (sign up the account to SS) use the SAME IP you were using for that account. Dont add new EB accounts from the same IP or an IP which does not belong to that particular stealth account.

This is extremely important, but other then that ShipStation is AWESOME and won't cause you any issues, been using it for years

Thanks guys. Your input is very much appreciated. I figured there would be a token generated to link each ebay account. I'll take the necessary stealth precautions when it comes time to log in.
