ebay asking for a lot of additional information
Hello fellow forum posters,
In the past I ran into the problem that ebay wanted to verify additional information and started asking me a lot of questions about "myself" to link information to my account and since I couldn't verify that information or didn't want to go through the process, they cancelled my account. I DEFINITELY WANT TO AVOID THAT FROM HAPPENING AGAIN.
Questions were multiple choice style, for example:
Did you live at any of the following address?
Did you owned/leased any of the following vehicles?
Do you have a mortgage with any of the following banks?
They were usually 5 or 6 questions but they were all similar
They even asked me if I know who (person's name) was; which was my sister in law.
Three of the four accounts I created were cancelled when I couldn't/rejected to verify this information.
I don't sell any VERO items but I do sell computer items, which I know are considered high risk items (I didn't know that back then). Computers are my bread and butter. I can sell used baby clothes or stuff I have laying around for a while but I need to get back to sell computer asap (without affecting the account, of course).
I'm looking for advice in the following:
1-did I get ebay to ask me to call to verify all that info because I was selling high risk items only? (pretty sure the answer is yes, but I would like the input or more experience "stealthers"
2- how many items high risk items should I mix with non- high risk items to fly under the radar? and how often until I can post mostly computer parts without worry about that?
Any advice is greatly appreciated.
