Does Cassini target each listing or the whole account?

Say if an account is selling 4 items and 1 of the items is doing really well in terms of sales, therefore boosting that item's ranking. Will it improve the other 3 listings too as the account overall is getting sales? Or is it every listing for itself?

I'm asking this because I have new accounts which have been throttled down to page 2 and page 3. I've been trying to switch the title name around, offer free postage 1st class, change item specifics and still nothing..

Please, any help. I'm really stumped

Strange name. I understand now. I remember when it was launched because that search engine change a few years back was the single largest shift in ebay history for sellers.

I really dont think anyone can know the definitive answer. But--I will say from what I have experienced, it is more item specific. I have had accounts be in perfect condition and have one item just go crazy and the rest stay consistent, but way off statistically. I really think there are far too many factors for Cassini to just boost all of what you have over the performance of your hot item.

Another note, I truly believe that Cassini boost everything you list when you are a NEW seller that is meeting every requirement to top rated during your probationary period. I have seen the "new listing" from new sellers trump established sellers then fizzle out after time.

I think Cassini uses many different metrics to assign both individual listings and accounts as a whole a 'rating' which then factors into listing placement.

I also agree with vettefever17's observations above. I have found these things to be true as well.

I can't figure it to this day. Cassini has some kind of rotation. A seller rotation that gets top views for a small period of time. But there are other factors as mentioned in the above threads too. I'm smart and I still can't figure it out.

Thanks for the reply guys, guess we're all pretty stumped..
I read somewhere that doing 3/5 day BINs apparently help with visibility and sales. Could anyone confirm they've had luck with this?

There are small ways to catch an edge but I'm keeping it with me. I stumbled upon it trying something else. It works most of time then all of the sudden, nothing! Ghost town!
I think 'the cassini effect' is random, then it's not.
