Define advertisments.

Always avoid ebay-owned companies

Like just banner advertisements on other sites. Got this isearch Babylon spyware stuff that always pops up as the homepage whenever i open firefox now lol, hasn't been too much of a bother so i haven't put in the effort to remove it yet but sometimes the banner advertisement is for eBay, and I've noticed it on other sites as well. Just wanted to make sure.

Rather a valid question to be concerned over, tbh.

Disable anything ebay on your computer except for your own accounts.

You know how the new computers have ebay pre-loaded, then disable that .

Never trust the bar stewards.

thought came to mind there might be LSO or super cookies on such banners.

Disable them, for sure.

Be safe.

Not pre-installed, just banner advertising. eBay advertise on heaps of sites, even on google.

In general, you should disable ads altogether.

Try this in your Firefox browser...
  • Go to the top menu and click on Tools. On the drop-down list, select Options to display current settings.
  • Under the Content tab, click on “Block pop-up windows”.

If that doesn't work, download an add-on called Adblock Plus.
