Default returned ⊗⊗⊗⊗ product

Hi
I have sold via one of my account brand new products.

Seller bought and paid. After he received item same day he opened returned case for faulty item.
I have to accept return.

ordered for him collection but he not send this item until he went to next step and opened case. ebay final decision was send it to me for full refund.

2 days later i received item but it was not what i sold to him.

ebay refund him after he provided trucking no with delivered..

It was very expensive item .

how can i get refund if ebay close the case.

You need to contact eBay and also file a police report

You may well still not get the money you were scammed out of back, but if you make it very clear to the buyer that you have contacted the police he may change his mind about scamming you

What do you mean seller returned item?

Don't you mean buyer?

Also if you proceed further check your English to make sure you make sense. Sorry but you need to be accurate to win cases.
Good Luck.

Questions you have not addressed.

Was there a tracking number?

If not, why not? You are claiming to send an expensive item without protection.

Value of this item too, age of your account.

Story will look off to others, if you get my drift.

Whilst the OP's English may not have been the greatest it seems pretty clear to me what's been said.

Tracking number? He didn't say the buyer claimed they didn't receive the item, he said he received the return but the returned item was not was what originally sent. Value of the item and age of account? Perhaps only the value of the item has any relevance here if the OP's perception of 'very expensive' is warped - and let's assume it isn't - which would then pose the question of whether it's worth taking further action; age of account has no relevance at all.

James North's response both answers the OP's question and is helpful.

I post so much that some of my replies are bound to be helpful purely by chance now and then!

OP means tracking number of returned item, thats normal as long as ebay see tracking number says delivered they issue refund does not matter what buyer sent back!

i dont think you will get money back and for ebay you need to say to them empty box received if you say its different item they will not help at all,
for empty box they will open appeal for you and then ask for police ref number which you need to make complaint online action fraud and once u provided photos and ref number ebay will reimburse you

E2Free, if seller claims buyer returned an empty box, buyer could most likely prove box wasn't empty by weight shown on his tracking receipt which would make seller appear to be lying. Buyer obviously has a receipt for package returning the incorrect item otherwise ebay wouldn't have refunded his money.

The only logical way forward seems to be reporting to police or action fraud and hope ebay take this into consideration, although I doubt anything will change their minds because the buyer can never do anything wrong - even when commiting outright fraud.

These battles with scammers always seems to be who knows the most steps back and forth using the system...

90% of the time I know more steps to win these kind of situations, 10% of the time the scammer wins because they know all of the steps and in the end the buyer is king.

The question is, is this worth the dog fight?

The advice of "You need to contact eBay and also file a police report" is a great start.

Some scammers don't want to deal with the law. Some know the law wont deal with you.
