Amazon Payments
I found out about this system earlier, and since the majority of users on aspkin deal via paypal I would like to inform them of the following. https://payments.amazon.com/sdui/sdui/personal https://payments.amazon.com/sdui/sdu...n-Payments-FAQ
Think PayPal but Amazon's style. You have a account balance like paypal however you can only put funds in it via bankaccount. Certain sites let you pay with Amazon Payments and if you have no funds in the account it will use the credit card on it (note you can't add funds to the account with credit card though which is a major downside). When you have funds in your Amazon Payment account you can use it to buy anything on Amazon.com or the sites that support Amazon Payments. First they will use any gift cards on Amazon.com then your Amazon Payments balance. You can also withdrawal the money from your Amazon Payments account and automatically get a Amazon Giftcard in any amount. You send money by typing in the email of an Amazon Payment account and it gets sent. And so on.
Information about their dispute process:
Am I protected when I use Amazon Payments?
If there are ever unauthorized Amazon Payments charges against your credit card or bank account, you can dispute the charge with us. Depending on how quickly you notify us about any unauthorized transactions, you might not be held responsible for those charges. If you submit payment for a product or service and you do not receive the item, or it is materially different than advertised by the merchant, you can dispute the transaction and request reimbursement. Anyways, the system sounds pretty good to me. It sounds like a nice alternative to PayPal and plus most of the stuff you guys pay for can be bought on Amazon also. I think I'll use it for any future items I sell/for users who use it also. The more I read about it the more it sounds better than PayPal, but lets not get too happy as the system could change at any time.
