Amazon not accepting gift cards anymore?
I have a stealth account that is about a month old. When I created the account I used a Vanilla Visa $25 Gift card that has worked on all of my other stealth accounts. Everything on the account was going fine and I have about $300 to disburse so today I went to add my bank info.
I noticed under my account info under payment method it said "None" and below that it said "Exception"
When I clicked "Exception", it showed me my VV GC info. I went to Vanilla Visa website and confirmed the zip code was correct, it was. Also, there is still $25 on the card and the weird thing is there are no pre-authorizations.
When I clicked on "edit", red letters came up and said my account will be restricted until I enter a valid credit card. I tried to just leave the info the same from the edit, but that did not work. I deleted the information and then added the same card again and everything seems OK now, but I'm worried it may not be too long before they say "exception" again.
There was a link for more help and here is what it said

We do not accept alternative forms of payment, such as a pre-paid credit cards, gift certificates, checks, or online payment systems, such as PayPal."
Has it always said that they will not accept pre-paid cards?
I'm concerned that Amazon may be cracking down on Pre-paid gift cards. Other posters have said that this is easy for Amazon to detect prepaid cards because of the beginning numbers on the card.
So if this is true and we can't use pre-paid gift cards what are the other options besides opening a business account at the bank and getting a cc under your business name?
