Transferring money to a relative (Canada)
Hey!
So, I've got this "stealth" account of sorts, an account whose name and birth date aren't mine, so I can't exactly validate it. I opened the account in 2014, not sure when exactly though, for what it counts.
Under normal circumstances, I'd have given up then and there, and made a new account, but the fact of the matter is that there's a hefty 2,600 in there. A relative of mine agreed to help me move the funds into a more secure position, namely, his account, which is verified.
Now, I was just wondering what would be the best method of doing so. What we had planned to do was to send increments of the money over a period of time (like $400 per month or so, sent as a gift), but I had read various threads here, and other places which discourage doing so.
We have the same IP, and same listed address, since we live in the same house, so I was also thinking there'd be the risk of PayPal linking the accounts or something.
So, what should I be doing? Continue sending small amounts of money to him? Give it to him all at once?
