I feel they go out of their way to ban accounts coz they need to be seen to be doing something about it.
They just bang it into their loss account maybe.

Amazon (and ebay/paypal) do not go out of their way to ban stealth accounts, because realistically speaking they should fit right in with the crowd.
Its only when one begins to breach their terms, cause them financial loss, and stand out like a sore thumb - at which point they decide the relationship between you and them is no longer economically viable, at which point they choose to dismiss such users.
If you are consistently losing accounts, you need to reassess your business plan.

Yes it is another business expense cost, but thats how business is.
You need to spend money to make money.
Things change and will change so one needs to adapt to the situation..... much like the Borgs on Star Trek - "They have adapted" so as stealthers, we need to adapt like the Borgs on a regular basis.
So 50xlaptops @ £100 each = £5000 extra in business costs, but from those laptops, you will be making good money so its just another business expense, albeit an expensive one.
Also, ebay make most of their money from us stealth crew so if they shut it all down, they get no money.
They know this and allow certain stuff to go on.
Many top top companies are operating on stealth.
Therefor ebay/paypal will never bother fingerprint via this method. |
You are getting nuttier.
Stop already because there is more **** than good stuff to use. |

I know that PayPal really checks WebGL fingerprint.
And yeah a lot of similar accounts (even at speperated vmware' or user accounts) + using the same pattern activities, the may be limited also based on this.
How can I know this?
Simply, there are lot of addons which you can try and i have tried to install such things which actually show what tracking methods site are using and PayPal using WebGL fingerprinting for sure.
Whether you want to hide your real WebGl fingerprint or not it's up to you.. Quote:

Are you saying you're WANTING to buy separate computers for your accounts? Or are you already doing this?
Also I personally don't think using separate computers is safer. It's a waste wasting money buying/selling the computers and also wasting time reinstalling everything, especially since it provides no added benefits over a virtual machine.

Yes, I use virtual machines and to date have had no problems so see now point changing things

there are laptops for $180 brand new and even less when stores have sales. you can easily turn and burn those and resell them for nearly the same as you paid for it to some moron on crai.gsL.ist.
it's not that far fetched to choose such a route if it makes you feel safer. everyone is acting like we're talking about turning and burning macbook pros in here.

Buying/reselling these computers alone is a huge pain in the ass by itself in a lot of ways, that alone makes it not very worthwhile already for me.

well that's what i mean. i'm not saying it's for everyone. but to say it's insane or impossible is just silly and nothing more than personal opinion depending on your strategy.
it's the same as those who claim running all your accounts on mifi boxes is crazy and impossible, yet there are plenty of us who do it and everything works great.
it's relative. if you're making tens of thousands from a single sub-$200 laptop, who cares about selling it and buying another one if that's what works for you?

There is no doubt IMO that individual computers are the most future proof methods for using stealth accounts, to keep each account unique and isolated from one another another.
However, at this present time, I agree with the majority consensus that virtual machines (if configured, and used properly) is sufficient.
As for future speculation - Whilst website's have tremendous access to a lot of our data, for the purposes of tracking, I highly doubt browsers would ever reveal too much to websites, as it could in turn violate a users privacy. So I'm sure browsers would do their part to keep a healthy balance.
To conclude - nothing to really worry about at this time.
