Customer is not happy. It's NOT an item you purchased but got given. You're even unsure yourself about what it was like. Better approach 'Let's arrange a refund at once. I am sorry you were inconvenienced'.

I am sorry you are poorly with a temperature. But that's the very time you don't do involved business.... see how muddled this all got? At the 1st email, an acknowledgement of receipt, no comments and I will advise your further what we can do to resolve this. Hit send, take antibiotics, climb into bed, have a nap & wake up feeling better Then if you are not bemuddled, look at your options. Still bemuddled? Back to bed. You have sent an email advising you are not ignoring the situation...buyer can wait

This talking to attorney friends has little use unless you are taking the buyer to court. Stop tripping yourself in who is more right. It's a sale that went wrong.

Hope you feel better soon,Melissa
I don't know where to start to clear up this confusion, suspect my posts will usually be misunderstood by you but no biggie. And Lawyers can do alot, you'd be surprised. Thanks so much for the well wishing, I really appreciate it. We had to go to work for a while today, our home business picked up a little. Talk to you later

Tell him you are a bit confused at the problems he is experiencing and would like to see photographs of the issues he is talking about as you photograph all items that you sell and would like to compare as possibly he was sent the wrong item *just saying*. In doing this you

A.Get to make sure he is in fact speaking of your product
b.Get to see if he has done any damage in taking things apart.
c.See if thier is actually any problems at all with the item and he is simply not trying to pay you.
d.even take the time to take the photos or decide his complaning is going to be more trouble then he bargained for.

If he does bring the issue to amazon you can easily answer that you have requested these photo's in attemp to resolve the situation.

Buyers have a lot of chance of being schemed, played, ripped off etc but only the sellers know how much crap we have to put up with from buyers that are constantly trying to get partial refunds, full refunds and bs returns, etc, ect

Just the other day I sold 3 Nintendo DS games (purchased at gamestop) to someone with over 3000 feeback, I figured no problems, I get an email the next day "Uhmmm these games are counterfiet they do not work in the DSI and the manual is a cheap copy".

Now belive I have seen counterfiet DS games and in fact the newer ones play in a DSI no problem but the fact is these were not counterfiet and I have the receipts from gamestop where they were purchased, obvisouly this buyer has been around ebay long enough to know exactly what to say and is probably planning on sending me some counterfeit crap back and keep the real one to re-sell..........sorry wont happen, I have pictures and recipts of the items I sold but you do have to protect yourself as a seller these days.
That's good you have the receipts and pictures. I always take pictures of my items too, well alot of them.
My son shops at Gamestop, he gets some really good deals. I am afraid to sell Vero. :> though I do from time to time. Usually religious titles

Melissa, through out your posts, you state one thing. Then if a comment gets made, the reply is 'No, I did not mean that'. So be it. I reply based on what is said. I have a dusty cracked crystal ball that helps a bit. Now I'd like to reply to you again, of course. But if you are meaning one thing and saying another, how can that be done?

I'll let it go for the moment given you are poorly.

Melissa, alot more detail has come thru since I last read it, I do believe it is not only what you know but WHO you know, and I agree, a law firms help and address really really helps with these 'misunderstandings' ...I have a few such contacts in professions and there is one law for those in the know and another for regular guys who get shafted all the time, nobody ever listens or cares about them....

You will probably be confused with my posts requesting help so I'll just remind you of it when you reply, no worries.

Wonderful, it is too bad this is needed though. What surprised me about selling is there seems to be more and more people learning how to play the system, get expensive items for free and be paid for it. Glad you have that protection, most people don't. Your accounts are probably in exceptional good standing.

He's a professional con but to add to it, his daughter is very sick.
There is a fund set up for her, a website and a pizza benefit. I donated to it. He will probably recognize the name when he receives the money. He hasn't replied back but to my choices. he will probably keep the item and I will pay him for it. That works. I have so much to do here I won't be able to read or reply for a while. thanks for your input

dang someone just updated the site !!! Aspkin! I had a huge reply wrote out and it disappeared so you only get a summary lol lucky you.

Basically Melissa you did the right thing try and get the buyer back on your side and get them at least satisfied...worst thing that could happen is you lose your product, shipping cost, and get neg. feedback.

My guess is you just needed to vent and as it is frustrating with time you will let it go easier. Sometimes I wanna just show up at my customers house and say ok are you really that big of a tool lol

And to the guy that said he doesnt ship to apartments or unit numbers you are a bigger tool than a customer gettting a freebie. And thats giving you too much credit. Do you just cancel all your orders to suites, units, or apartment numbers in the addy? I would lose 35-40 percent of my sales if I did this. And amazon would not tolerate this I would guess anyway..never know.

I have friends that own condos and/or apartments that are well into the 350k range or a lot more. you my friend are judging people on a just an address thats just plain ignorant and appalling. The world is a big place and not everyone lives in the suburbs has 2.3 kids and a dog. Thats simple minded im guessing youre from usa but its a big world and many people live in this type of housing.

I just remember reading the comment not gonna point you out by name. Sorry usually on here I let dumb comments let themselves be dumb but this got me a bit. So much for a short version...my vent is done thanks hate to derail thread

Hi Mtn Dew

Thanks for your note. For some reason, I haven't felt good so I haven't been doing as much. I don't feel I am being the bigger person by refunding a professional thief, just so you know. But I understand people think differently so there is no right or wrong. I've done both.

If his child had not been sick, there would be no refund and possibly had my friend mess with him back to get him to back off. He calls it a "Back off letter" which he wants me to send right now to prevent bad feedback. His law office address was offered as the address to send the item back at one point so that should be plenty.
if needed, I can warn him of the consequences to not removing his bad feedback (if left). So far we're fine. he is still communicating with me, even after the refund. Still hanging onto chatting for some reason minus the attitude. I will keep writing back and praying for his daughter.
Can't imagine having to go thru such a thing....

He filed an A-Z claim and I refunded him, all within seconds. The refund and the claim could have waived hello in transit :D Now the a-z claim is missing and so is of my responses to him and a few of his to me (cursing, vulgar etc..). It's finished so it doesn't matter anyhow but that's odd. Customer metrics looks untouched
