Default Attempted Scam

So a little while ago I sold a phone on Amz, confirmed postage and disbursed funds even though I hadn't acquired the product as yet.

Although I claimed I sent the item a while ago, I actually only sent it on Saturday.

Yesterday(Sunday) I get an email from the customer saying that he has received the phone and that it's faulty, NOT POSSIBLE! . I suppose he is intending to send a faulty replacement back, and keep the new one I send.

I sent him an email saying I know what's he's up to and I will be contacting Amaz and possibly the police also.

This unfortunately puts scrutiny on my account, Amz will know that I have been disbursing before posting. At least I have the tracking number to show when it was actually sent, which should expose the buyer as a fraudster.

I wonder what will happen next, what will the scammer do?. I also made a note of the IMEI number to protect myself.

Im Quite sure that the Buyer Did NOT Check the tracking Number before he sent you that Message.

Just let him know that you have a Copy of his message particularly when he sent it and the Tracking information that will CLEARLY show that he could have NOT possibly of had the phone in his possession on the day he sent you that message,,,,

Then ask him how it is possible for him to know his phone does Not work Before he has received it?, and how he Plans to convince Amazon should he open a dispute.

True Justice would be for him now getting the phone and it REALLY is defective and him having no way to Dispute it.

No sense speculating as to what would happen in my honest opinion.

You have all your paperwork and e-mails ready - you could try the Seller's help phone service as a pre-emptive alert to what might go down but I would not take action until the buyer makes a STRONG move.

I hope it works for you and he shuts up once he gets the phone. This is a semi-pro scammer going on.

The thing is that even once I sent the phone I didn't enter the tracking, as It would look odd to Amazon. I would only give it to the customer if they asked

If I had sent the phone today instead of Saturday then I would have just sent him a phone box full of paper clips or something hehe.

Yeah well just hope my account doesn't go under microscope too much. I disbursed £300 today also. I have a couple of other orders for phones that I will be sending in a couple of days, hope they are not for the same douche bag using different accounts!
