If it were me, I wouldn't sell 40 items in a week. You want your stealth Amazon account to last, wait a month before selling like crazy.

yea... amazon gets nuts if you sell too much apparantly. i just opened 3 new stealth accounts. 100% new computers with individual internet connections through seperate wireless dial up dongles, new identities, new phones,etc.. the works
1 was banned without explanation, they just said "we chose to close your store", it had only been open a week, had $500 in sales, but they shut it down before product had even arrived to customers (all shipped with tracking), they didnt say it, but I think its due to lack of feedback to support the number of sales (no one left feedback, no one had gotten anything yet...)
2nd was banned for selling "innapropriate items", which doesnt make sense, i was selling adult erotica, but its the same erotica that amazon and many others are STILL selling on the site. amazon likes to pretend they dont sell porn and randomly bans a few people for selling it, even though they continue to sell it themselves and so do many others on the same item pages. they dont even take the item pages down so i dont understand how anything i was selling is innaprpriate when so many others are selling the exact same item, including amazon itself.
anyway, the 3rd account is under review, luckily it has some feedback, we'll see if it passes velocity review or not
if it doesnt i may end up homeless soon, i cant afford to buy another computer and internet connections i spent the last of my money on these new 3 and it will be 3 months before i get the money back from all the sales we've done (several thousand dollars already...)

Just take it easy the first month or so, build feedback with little notes pestering customers to leave positives. It's worth it in the long run. Try to get 10 positive feedbacks before you go crazy selling. At 25 or so, you're golden and can start thinking about restricted categories.

I always make more accounts than I need. The ones I don't use has just one item for sale greatly overpriced. When I do get suspended (only happened twice this year selling in high risk media) I simply transport items from suspended account to new one months old and don't miss a beat and rack up in sales. So far, I've never been put under revue.

Just go simple and use same desktop/laptop with dial up. It's what I do with great success. Six accounts running using same laptop. Sure, you may access accounts quicker using cable, but other than that I never could understand why some go all out the way with complicated mac changing every time for login and changing router mac, dongle, etc. KISS.

Same here. I don't have 10+ accounts like some on here, but just bought a cheap netbook after I was suspended from my legit account, and use that to access any Amazon-related stuff.

I would have considered it worth it, if we didn't start getting banned on those accounts.
Anyway, what vmware do you use? I know nothing about it to be able set up the accounts on one computer.
Also, I don't think this computer has dialup. What dialup do you use and what do you do to keep each account seperate with the dialup? Does each need a new dialup account?
doesnt the network connector for the dialup have a mac address that needs to be change?
i'm gonna need to learn this going forward, i have to make this work or im in a lot of trouble.

but, how do you ensure that your internet connection ip and mac address of modem/router are also new?

No need, I actually moved to Seattle from Portland literally a month after I was banned.
Btw, I was banned while on vacation. Imagine!

It can be fairly quick at times if not heavily in use, but on certain times of day where there are lots of users on at the same time it can be unbearably slow. The way to work around the really slow times is curtail your login times to coincide with the less heavily used times.

i'm gonna need to learn this going forward, i have to make this work or im in a lot of trouble. | I don't use any VMWare. Just Windows and different user accounts. Dial-up connections do not have MAC addresses. I use a laptop that has modem for dial-up connection. If you desktop/laptop does not have a telephone line connection for dial-up, then you need to buy external USB modem that connects any desktop/laptop to dial-up.

Software? Do you mean dial-up services? If that is what you meant than Juno & Coppernet. Other than that, I use nothing else.

Eyyyyy Axcend, long time no see.
Are you sure that Amazon can see outside of the VMware chain? A VMware machine is basically a stand-alone computer, and it has its own "virtual" internet adapter that has its own virtual MAC address. Even if the iPhone was your second in the chain, wouldn't the chain first have to go to your host computer in the first place?
What I am trying to say is doesn't Amazon see it like this?
VMWare -> VMWare Virtual Network Adapter -> ???
Even if its like what you said, wouldn't it instead be
VMware -> Host Computer -> Iphone?
Instead of
VMWare -> Iphone?
Sorry if this is confusing to read :P

Contact the Better Business Bureau, I've done that from all 10 of my accounts that have gone down. They always respond & they're ready to deal.
