Default Update on Deleted Accounts | Funds Held |

I was able to get the receptionist of Corporate Headquarters to connect me to Evan James, head of Amazon Executive Customer Relations.

I gave him the rundown on my account, and how it has been deleted and That many sellers are having funds held past the 90 days as stated in the Amazom Terms of Service.

I gave him my account, and information, he PROMISED that he would get to the bottom of whats going on and personally call me and let me know what the deal is.

I also told him, that I am calling on behalf of over 800+ sellers that are in the same situation, and that our next step is to take it to the media to get some attention to it.

So we will see what develops, and I will keep everyone updated.

Here's an idea, why not just withdraw the money before you let too much get in there or continue selling, that would pretty much solve the deleted account issue everyone keeps talking about.

That's the way I've always done it anyway, never had more than $100 held in Amazon.

@jbluntz, the issue that some folx get accounts deleted regardless of amounts - 100, 500, whatever - or worse you get blocked, 90 day hold and get deleted during that time.

I know but what I was saying is if you never let that much get in there to begin with then it shouldn't be that big a deal if it get's deleted.

Probably just a blow off to get you off the phone. But it would be great to see something happen with this. I am very fortunate and never got anything trapped. But its a bad enough situation that I wont risk selling on AZ right now. Having a few grand, or 10x that vanish is not at all pleasant

Post the phone number you called....
Then ALL of us who are in the deleted bin can give them a call.
I wonder how long it will take for them to change their number?

These customers were sent the items that they ordered. All in brand-new and unused condition. Should be illegal and is definitely not the way to treat a good seller on Amazon.com. I also took the liberty of mailing my complaint to Amazon.com at their headquarters address (I tried to call them also) to no avail. Here is their HQ address and phone number as was listed at the Better Business Bureau:

Amazon.com Headquarters

Contact: Mr Evan James, Manager of Executive Customer Relations and Horse****

Phone: (866) 216-1072

Address: 1200 12th Ave S Ste 1200 Seattle, WA 98144-2734
Don't know if this is the right number

I agree! I have been wanting to get on Amazon for a long time and this is the approach I would take too. If the limit is $750 then maybe sell no more then 20% $150 of that and stop selling. The risk is minimal and might help secure the account over time.

I just see many people that get suspended on most auction sites because they are much too fast out of the gate. Nowhere is a first time seller going to make $1000+ in sales in first month.

I have emailed ecr@amazon.com several times and received nothing but automated replys.

The number I called is 206-266-1000 this is the corporate number, you hit option 1 for customer serivce.

You will be connected to the main receptionist, then ask to be connected to Evan James head of Executive Customer Relations

Not sure how long this will work, and from the 30-45 minute conversation we had, he was not trying to brush me off, or we wouldn't have spoken as long as we did.

Whether he can get out money back I doubt it, but he might be able to shed light on what is causing them to hold the funds.

Also, if you do call make sure you Mention Calvin Mason for the reason of calling. Let him know he(Calvin) is in charge or our group to get results, as that is what I informed him.
