About Internet Router's MAC address - which one to change

We are talking about changing the MAC address for the wireless router, NOT the MAC address for the cable modem, right? For example, I have Time Warner's cable coming out of a wall, connecting to Time Warner's modem. Then a Linksys wireless modem attach to the Time Warner's modem. I need to change the MAC address to the Linksys, right? Thanks for the confirmation!

1) Spoof/Change MAC address of Network adaptor and 2) First connecting device to internet (which would be Linksys).

Along with your computer MAC address, Amazon is able to read the MAC address of the first connecting device you use to reach the internet.......So let's say you have a standalone broadband modem and router connected to your computer . Amazon will only be able to read your computer's MAC address and your router's MAC address and not your Cable/DSL modem. Amazon Ghost, page 16

look at the illustration on page 16, is that similar to your setup?

Thanks for the verification. Now I feel more confident. I did read the book and just wondering why Amazon won't go after the modem's MAC because it is more reliable than Router.

You meant you have more than one Amazon accout running under the same router Mac, and no problem at all?

That is what I do, direct connection between my PC and modem. I don't use router
