Default Why not use an authorized user for debit/credit card?

Just had a thought today... I've created an Amazon Ghost account successfully, and I've had it for several months. Sold a couple thousand dollars through it no problem.

I did some searches, but didn't find anybody really asking this question... If you have a credit card or debit card with an organization you like (Chase or Discover for example), why not just add your ghost name as an authorized user to your existing account?

They would be issued a different card with a different card number, and as long as your billing address matches your new ghost address, there shouldn't be a problem... Right? My new address is a real address by the way, and it is the one I use for my new Amazon Ghost bank account.

Here's the scenario of why I'm asking this.

1. I have Chase business account.
2. I have bulk listing service I want to sign up for (I will still use my VPS to utilize that by the way).
3. The bulk listing service costs $60 a month. This means every eight months I have to get another gift card (assuming a $500 limit), and change out the card numbers. It hit me... I have a Chase business account. Why not just add an authorized user whose name would match the name of my Amazon account's name as well as address?

Thoughts on whether this would work or not? I heard a guy say one time he got a credit card for his dog just to help protect his identity. Amazon has a legit card, the credit card companies and banks don't seem to mind handing out authorized users, and I never have to worry about gift cards being questioned, or making sure there is enough of a balance left on a gift card.

As long as you get a NEW card, there is no problem - do NOT add weird names to your chase or other bank account..thats a HUGE flag for fraud - banks dont like it and will punish you by asking for that person's ID...why create so much hassle?

Always remember that banks want proof of names - they are very high about having EXISTING ID on file.

By the way - for cards like this, names dont have to match up necessarily - more the address is important as shown stealth guide.

Another thing to consider that a lot of backs will give you the same card number for the authorized user as what you already have. Chase does it, checked

RSOT, so you're saying I could use a similar name or even my own name as long as the address is different (which it is) and I have a different credit/debit card?

Thanks for the warning Artann.
