Default Need some Advice for Fraudlent Buyer

I sold a refurbished item, all genuine...the listing was clear about the work carried out, and it is in used category.

The buyer claimed that the item was faulty, and wanted me to resend this...i send this without getting a faulty one back, because having a bad feedback on AZ is a nightmare.
Once he got that, he claimed once more the item is faulty, but that is impossible because was tested before sending
He wanted a full refund, i did not refund him straight away because i was waiting on his reply.

Then i got a reply back to say he claims these are counterfeits and given to the police for investigation. So i am peace with this
This account was real details and i am sure the items are real. Only been repaired and changed case.

I asked him when is he going to return the item back, has not replied, if he claims it is in the police, i did say to him, i am not scared because i am confident no law has been broken, not sold anything wrong..
He texted when he asked fro replacement etc but now he does not reply.

Is it a case of he wanted a freebies, and the police thing is nonsense so he does not have to return the items back.
I am disgusted by this....

Not only he got a refund, he got two items free...it is not about the money...i can live with few loses...it is people like that who makes it hard for genuine people and should not be allowed to get away

What the best thing to do?

Do nothing. Move on, and forget about it. These things happen from time to time.

I always threaten to take them to the small claims court. Let them know that it will be at a destination convenient to me and that if they don't show up they will be liable for the price of the item/legal proceedings and my days wages. I would probably do it too if I had good enough proof but everyone has backed down

It sound like you sold a used phone. Is that GSM or CDMA?

Speak to eB about this if you want and claim the buyer is extorting you and falsely saying he went to the police - where is the police report? Lies - fight a little if you have time

Try to contact AMAZON seller support to see if there is a chance for you.
AMAZON platform is hopeless .. Buyer always has upper hands.
I really wish all the best to you, but on AMAZON, I really see no hope.
Buyer can file A-Z claim and get his money back without returning any thing.
I would move on and forget about this like Ebayorbus suggested.
Keep us posted.
There are more and more scammers emerging on AMAZON, I just got another one today.

I know..i can move on and forget....just i hate the attitude someone can muck you about like.....and get away with it...but i also know....what's the use since either way nothing would work

The thing that would work would be a solicitors letter, my brother in law is one....so going to ask his advice...this would teach him not to this to any other people and make him sweat abit...£88 is lost....but has i said, it is not about the money. We all on this forum stumble across buyers like these once.

Just finding it hard to accept people can steep so low for freebies, it is matter or principle.

Okay, rant over.

I just say...anyone who has REAL DETAILS and genuine products then it is worth giving it a go.

There's a lot of real nasty folk out there. Some will grind an axe over the slightest thing.

I was building some feedback on a new account recently. Buyer that had purchased an item for 99p with 60p P&P contacts me after a month saying they dropped it and it broke. Expected another to be sent free of charge. As +ve feedback had already been left they were politely told this wasn't going to happen. A barrage of abuse was then received via email - all of it ignored.

It's annoying at times but hey when you look at the bigger picture and the money that there is to be made - BRING IT ON.
