this question is about amazon

i know this has nothing to do with ebay... but i just have a question on to be come a seller on amazon... i had tried a few times where they asked me if i had a business and if i can provide them information...i did it under my cuzins name and they never evan replied when i asked why they said its confidential... so my question is how is it done. do they like personally pick who they want or something?
