Trick to track exact sales of a product and see if it's a winner!
Seasoned Amazon sellers may already know this, but I just thought of this yesterday and I can't believe how effective it is.
Unlike eBay, Amazon doesn't show any sales figures except for the Best Seller ranking, so it can be hard to tell whether an item is selling or not.
A way to find out the sales an item gets in a day, a week, or even a month is to add it to your cart and set the quantity to 999. It will instantly give you an error, telling you how much quantity is available.
Record that, and come back after a day, and note down the difference in quantity. That's how much sold in a day.
Repeat for a week, and a month. Note that this isn't fool-proof, and if a seller adds a stock, or an order is cancelled, it may throw off your numbers a little, but it's still quite an effective way to track a product's sales.
This trick is doing me greatly in tracking me potential winners.
Hope this helps any sellers, and good luck on Amazon!
