Guys, I have a question. For the stealth account, I set up virtual mailbox with real info, I fill up that USPS form send ID's etc.. I put my new address at amazon and they send postcard with a stealth name on it. So my question is : Will my Virtual mailbox provider accept the postcard or refuse it because of the name doesn't match with name of the mailbox holder? how to set it up correctly?

I do have same question as grach. Online support saying that different name on package could be an issue sometimes. I see that at virtual mailbox online settings there is a field where you can add a business name, so I'm thinking right now to add stealth name there, but Not sure if that will work. Need more info. Please help guys!

This is only something you can deal with your provider ask them to add a name that's your stealth name, be it a person or business name.

I contacted my provider (one of online platforms who sells hundreds of locations across US) and they want 1583 form to be completed and notarized in order to add an extra name to mailbox. Any ideas about good virtual box provider? I sent a test mail today to see if that will go through with different name. We'll see. Or do you mean to call the mailbox facility directly and ask them to add name? Thank you.

Most are automated and do not look at the names on every piece of mail

Some may have an issue with it but most will go unnoticed

You can also add your amazon name as a business name to the account if they offer it

many have already done this with no issue

Unlucky me. So I added a stealth name as my business name to the Virtual mailbox account and now have an issue with it. Virtual MB provider want me to update 1583 form where business name will be included if I want to receive that mail (they have already received the postcard, but they don't want to scan that one without verification). Amazon doesn't let me resend a postcard to a different address at the moment and I need to do something. (((

Do you think I can update 1583 form and add a business name there and put a stealth name in the company name field and then notarize it once again and send it to virtual mailbox provider once again? Is it safe to do? I assume I will need to do a DBA?

Does anyone knows if amazon will allow me to resend a postcard to a different business address in a few days or so? At this moment when I go to verify my business address it says that I should expect the postcard to arrive by 22nd. But what happens if for example I Didn't receive one.

I added a business name on the 1583 form. You don't need a DBA. You can put anything you want for business name. They don't verify. That's probably your easiest method to go with.

Just a heads up to everyone

As of 4/7/2021 - it seems like they have slowed down the request of postal verification on shops

We still see them from time to time but I'm guessing the push back from people complaining has had an impact

The method I described on the first page of this thread still works for those that need to postal verified

I'll keep everyone updated as things progress :thumb:

There's still a chance they might double down and ask for video verification.

It's one or the other or both. And they are now applying this new policy on older accounts.

Are you getting postcard requests on your non US based shops?

Currently not getting those requests on my end. Maybe its pushed on US based accounts only

post card requests are only happening in countries that currently have it

US/CA/UK/some EU/some AU/JP

US is the only one that requires it on all registrations

YOu sure it's ALL USA accounts? So every account you made it immediately get hit with postcard?

Yeah all USA registered shops with USA info get post card request

You can do US pro with foreign info to get around it

Some countries don't require it yet but more are starting to request it including EU/UK/AU/CA

None of my USA accounts have been requested on it yet.

I do know they are running through some older accounts, but I don't think it's 100% mandatory yet.

Yeah its only 100% if you register today

Some people are getting the postcard request on shops that are 1-2 years old, but its rare at the moment

My friends account & aunts account got hit today at the same time accounts are 1.5 years old and 2.5 years old

Not in UK, if account created properly this can bypass the postcode request
