Fullfilled by amazon - when does amazon alert seller to return?

When using fulfilled by Amazon. At what point in the return process is the seller informed? When a return is initiated? Once amazon have received the return? Once they've made a decision/ returned to seller?

Reason I ask is I've had a couple of buyers reach out to say they've returned it to amazon and asking me for an update. Amazon have not told me anything about the return so I've referred them to amazon customer service as its FBA. Curious at what point Amazon will tell me? First one was 6 weeks ago so would have thought they should have been refunded by now

They usually tell you immediately.

But I have noticed at times they just emailed me saying"we refunded buyer due to etc etc"

Amazon = not reliable when telling you things.

It's down to buyer's account, normally they issue redund once customer drop it off to post office etc and other get refund once its track at their warehouse and some after few days upon scan
