Opening a business bank account when you have a registered agent in a different state
How do you open a business bank account when you use a registered agent in a different state? I have a Wyoming LLC and tried to open Wells Fargo checking but they will not let me unless I can provide them with a utility bill. The RA won't give me one.
What banks have worked for those with a registered agent?
The complete step-by-step guide to get back to selling today!

Yes I have but since the business's registered address is in a different state and I cannot provide a utility bill they will not let me open the account. Do you think the bank will know if I just say my personal address is my business address?

I dont think bank will check your address, but from my personal experience with Wells Fargo, commercial checking account requires a minimum balance, monthly fee .
It may ask some documents like DBA(DOING BUSINESS AS),

Most banks could care less what the address is. Really, all they care about if your Articles, That the name matches the EIN and mostly, YOUR social security number and ID.

So is everything WY? The business address also? I've been checking out the different registered agent services in WY lately. I found one that would actually open the bank account for you because they know some of the major banks won't let you.

Check which banks. My RA does the same thing but they are small banks. I would prefer to open an account with a larger one.

Big banks have been closing branches, there is not enough traffic, these days you dont need to go to a physical branch, unless you are applying for a mortgage.
Wonder what kind of jobs can the bankers find?

The entire state has less than 600,000 people. Plus Wyoming is the last free state with great laws for citizens that are not great for banks. MOST credit unions wont do business with people who live in Wyoming too.

I know that many banks may shut down your account even if they open it due to risk factors because they’re has been lots of fraud where ppl register a company in one state and open bank’s accounts in other states or even within the same state but too far from their original zip code.

I was told the same the reason by Wells Fargo. They said even if you are are able to open an account online if they find out at some point your account will be shut down.

I doubt Wells Fargo checks over documents the way Amazon does. Can't you just give them a creative Electric Bill? Use your own bill but just change name and address to the corporation and their address?

Probable but it’s easier for me to just use a small more private bank.
