Once Amazon blocks your credit card it can never be used again for opening up an Amazon account.
Pre-paid temporary debit cards with a Visa, MasterCard or American Express logo are gererally the best to use as a stealth credit card. The can be found at convenience stores, malls, or online in the form of virtual credit cards.
I read on the forum that you could use green dot
because it has a bank acccount with it.
if you can, it can't be stealth, because greendot you would need to register with your real information, and if you deposit to greendot via a different name, greendot will not take the deposit.
i dont think amex gift cards work. i just tried with mine and it didnt take it... does anyone know if you can use a legit debit card from your real bank and just put the account info as the billing address and stuff?
i remember i think that someone said they wont look at your information just the card number. I just dont feel like getting booted off amazon yet again
Re #17:
You can use your debit card for Amazon, but the digits of your address and zip must match the Amazon street and zip digits. The name on the card doesn't matter and the name of the street doesn't matter. 123 main street is the same as 123 notonmylawnyounastydog blvd. They are exactly the same from the information Amazon can validate.
Re #18:
You can't send money FROM amazon TO a gift card.
I bought a Vanilla Gift Card today and was wondering if I can use that as my credit card.
The only problem is that instead of a name it says A Gift for You.
I have everything ready to go on my new amazon account except for this.
Should I use the Vanilla Gift Card or should I use VisaVCC.com?
Just curious, did the Vanilla GC work for you then? Can you update your situation? Have you opened your account? I am close of opening a new account but just need a few more holes to fix ..
