Amazon Video Verification tomorrow!

So I have a video verification tomorrow on a 7-year-old active account. Amazon randomly decided to ask my store for a video verification just because they have nothing better to do. It wasn't linked to any issue.

Information on this account is real, its not stealth. Ive done video verifications on new accounts but never aged accounts. I heard people been having issues dealing with this kind of verification because the reps ask unnecessary questions. My humble question to the experts on this site,what type of questions should I be prepared for? I don't want these people shutting down a 7 year old account because I didn't answer 1 thing accordingly.

I would guess it's similar to a disbursement from suspended account video interview. Just want verify your identity and supply chain. This was discussed in this thread with someone posting their experience

Any tips for others who will have to undergo these interviews? Seems they are becoming increasingly frequent and random.

If it's the 30 min interview it's asking you little details only you would know.
Since it's your account, just don't hesitate when you answer

This? I didn't know they even did this. I mean not the video verification but a 30min zoom call? That does seem pretty scary if they are not just searching for verification of identity but they have the ability to close your account if they don't like an answer?

Instead of all this they should be checking a sellers messaging and refunds etc to ensure everything is legit. Why even bother the guy..

Agree it’s not normal video call it’s quite intense

Do they do this to old grandfatehred accounts often though?

Or did they detect something from OP's account and decide to verify it?

I had it on 2 active accounts. I have other accounts where I wasn't actively selling and they haven't requested verification. I'm yet to go ahead with the interview.

I looked on the Amazon seller message boards and other people were getting hit the same time as me. UK accounts prompted to verify by the US site (Amazon.com) even though they had never sold on that marketplace.
From what I can see they were genuine sellers with legit items. They were passing the interview but one light heartedly said the interview made them feel 'violated'!

That one was selling toys. Not sure if the focus was on items sold or identity? Usually with toys they'd be looking at safety issues.
