Activity: 0% Longevity: 81% | | Is Amazon having password issues?
OK...
On a couple of my accounts, it is rejecting my password. I never changed it.
So, I clicked on "Forgot Your Password" and they sent me an email with a link to re-set the password.
I have tried this twice now, to no avail. No matter what I do, it says my password is invalid.
I don't think the accounts are blocked, because Amazon does not lock you out, they just block your ability to list and sell.
Is anyone else experiencing this?

It has happened to me before.
The account in question has been deleted by Amazon.
In order to get your money you will have to contact Amazon.
E-mail them now from the email account that is associated with the deleted account.
They will tell you you are blocked and to contact them after 90 days.
If you do not have a checking account on the account yet they will open the account back up to you after 90 days.
You can then add your account and receive you deposit.
It is a pain in the butt but I have had to do it a few times.
I have no idea why it happens.

I had this happen 4 days ago with a new acct I opened. The book I listed showed up immediately. (thats all I listed) The next day I tried to log in and no dice. I did the password thing twice - no dice. I then did the live chat w/ Am and they wanted a bunch of personal cc info. (Name, bank # on the back of the card, etc.) I told them the same info I used to open the acct. I guess it didn't fly. The live chat guy said that seller support would contact me within 24 hours to let me know whats up. That was 2 days ago.

I started searching the forum, and some people claim Amazon was not going to pay them. But I doubt they even contacted Amazon. Certainly, I have more faith in HWGA than just about anyone else when it comes to all matters Amazonian.
So, next question. In 90 days, the account will be opened so that I can add a bank account. Would it be safe, in your opinion, to use a previously banned bank account?
Also, these accounts were BOTH on VPS's. Ideally, I would like to cancel the VPS's to avoid incurring the additional 3 months expense. I could still log into GMAIL from any other computer (of course, not one that is ACTIVE with Amazon!).
Opinions, anyone?
BTW: HWGA, you are looking really handsome today! |

Always safe once you have the 90 days up. I have withdrew from 10 or so blocked Amazon accounts until now and after the 90 day period I have always been using the same bank account. Works very nicely for me.
On another note, I have spoken with Amazon Seller's support service during my early days with Amazon - doesn't do much but they do cooperate for info after a light verification of you.
Can't really comment on your VPS situation however.

Can't really comment on your VPS situation however. | I totally understand. VPS's are new territory. That is why I am experimenting and I always cautioned that my results were only PRELIMINARY. I am going to be looking for any similarities between these two accounts to see if I can nail down the likely problem.

Opinions, anyone? | In my past experiences, when they deleted my accounts, I would contact them by email playing dumb.
Then I would get the email telling me to contact them again in 90 days.
In 90 days I would email them again.
They opened my account to me for just 2-3 days.
That is when I would put the bank info in there.
I used a older bank account that I had used a few times before on Amazon.
Then about a 5 days later my $$ arrived.
No big deal really just another PITA wrench that Amazon has started doing. Quote:

I've only had one account deleted in the past. The missing piece here that neither trig or jeffweico have mentioned is that they didn't receive any notification telling them their account had been deleted, they seem to have been totally unaware of it and given no reasons as to why. I know that I received a message informing that the account had been deleted, and the reason why this action was taken.
If it has been deleted then sure you'll get your money in 90 days. This just doesn't sound right though, I mean at least when trig contacted them they would have been quick to reach for one of the generic responses that the account had been blocked/deleted to get rid of him.

^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^
I have experienced both ways.
A few times I DID receive the lovely Amazon email telling me that I had been deleted from their world.
But lately I have gotten the no reach around version where I was not even aware that I was getting screwed.
But either way you get it you just have to email them when it happens.
And then again in 90 days.
Right now I have an account that has been deleted.
It matured on Nov 28th.
It already has a bank account on it.
I am just going to wait and see if my $$ arrives in the next few days.
I have NOT emailed them at all about this account.
I want to see how it plays out......

Can you guys think of any justifiable reason WHY you would have been deleted? I can only think that you would have had to have done something to really piss them off for it to happen without even knowing about it.

This is very interesting I've never gotten an email saying I've been deleted but I'm sure some accounts probably did get deleted and I didn't notice. Cause I never login and I've gone through at least 50-100+ accounts by now. I always just email them when the time is up, never logged in no need.

Activity: 0% Longevity: 90% | | Here is what I think I have figured out.....
I currently have 40+ Amazon accounts maturing with the same bank account number.
I have just attempted to log into 25 of them and they ALL are deleted accounts.
I have another 4+ Amazon accounts maturing with a different bank account number.
These accounts I CAN still log into.
It is looking like that if you use the SAME bank account a certain number of times then Amazon will delete ALL the accounts with that bank account.
I have used bank account A over 75 times for blocked Amazon accounts.
I have used bank account B only about 4-5 times for blocked accounts.
The accounts connected to bank account A have been deleted.
I started noticing this in the past few weeks.
So I think the number might be 25-35.
That is how many times I have cashed out a Amazon account into bank account A
I still have another 40+ Amazon accounts with bank account A information.
The accounts connected to bank account B I can still log into.
So there is a sad limit to the number of times a bank account number can be used. Remember I do not work for Amazon.
All information I post is from my own experience.
So I could be wrong, but the odds are pretty low... LOL

same problem here. This is bull **** I could login to my account a few days ago when it was blocked from selling so I made a appeal. Then they denied the appeal and deleted my account. I should have never appealed I guess. This sucks I had a promo credit on my account too for buying video games.

The two accounts that I had were relatively new accounts and neither had bank account information yet.

Yeah either way, just make sure to note down all the info you'll need for the accounts. Just email them when 90 days are up and there you go you got your money, whether its deleted or not no big difference. All that matters is they pay you.

UPDATE:
On one of the accounts that went down, Amazon called my TracFone. I didn't realize it as I was out this morning. I never carry them with me.
Another member mentioned getting a call. So maybe this is something new that Amazon is doing.

It's Amazon.com Customer Services. I didn't think you would have your account just deleted without at least having some idea of a justifiable reason why. At least where HWGA doesn't get the notification that they deleted his account, he knows why they did it because he put in the same information, albeit on purpose. I expect they're going to talk to you about something and based on what's written here you haven't done anything wrong or trig hasn't done anything at all, and so you stand a good chance of getting your accounts back. Amazon sometimes changes the password randomly as a security measure, possibly just a password update call. Why not call them back on that number?
I too agree with HWGA's finding that they delete the account after the same bank or other information has been entered a certain number of times - my findings suggest that the number is far lower than 25-35 and probably closer to 7-8. Perhaps there is no hard and fast number and it could be different for everyone but I agree with that finding - the more times you enter the same blacklisted information the quicker they shut you down for good. I imagine the more records they find of you having matching information the greater risk they see you as and take more steps to lock you out, where just a few records would just be a block but still accessible.
