 Amazon Email query?

I just have a question about emails regarding Amazon Ghost accounts.
If i was to configure my gmail account to my helpdesk account and disable the image download as described in the ghost book. would i be able to safetly send and recieve emails this way?
amazon has the website info where this help desk is installed, i.e it is installed in the back end of my website but it uses email gateways to collect emails from the gmail
i have attached a configuration of the help desk but not sure how to add images to the message.
