Question Old/New Accounts with old/new computers and old/new ip.

I am on a home network. 3 computers (so far). My laptop was the computer that I used when I was banned from Amazon. My wife used another computer but it was on the same ip. So I am sure they banned her because of being on the same IP, same address as me.
I can get a NEW IP by changing ISPs (comcast to NTELOS) - BUT will they catch up to me IF I login to amazon with my laptop on the new IP with the new ISP even if I am just buying with my old account? And then BAN my new stealth seller account?
OR should I NEVER access amazon at all from my old computers when we switch over the IP and the ISP? I plan to get a new computer for my wife to sell with a new account based on a UPS box address that is nearby.
Also what about accessing the new account with my old computer - I probably should never do that - right?

New laptop = new mac address
new mac address = new ip address (Even though comcast, just reset modem)

I would hook the new laptop directly to your modem and reset the modem.

Default router

If I disconnect and reconnect it will go back to the same IP address. Same Router.

MAYBE i should get a new router first because comcast is cheaper. what do you think?

Yes, the router has a mac that needs to be reset too.

I think my previous reply is the simplest solution for you.

Default reset modem

ILLA - yes in theory sounds good, BUT I can't just keep my laptop plugged into the modem. I am on a home network and my kids need to use the connection also. So my wifi router is hooked up to modem.

Then I asked the guy running the computer store and he said they were on routers. I was like dam dam dam!!!!since then i searched hi and low and for all info on networking and now no problems It is a learning experiance but it really screws you the first time. use dialup slightly slow but effective

you need to get the Amazon Ghost book. It fully explains mac addresses with amazon. You will need to change your current strategy in order not to have your accounts linked.

OK - I have implemented Ghost.
1) Got new computer
2) changed my ISP.
3) Got a DBA - fictitious name
4) Got a UPS Store address
5) Got a new bank account under MY NAME - the bank tells me that if a company like AZ deposits money via a routing and account number they do not have access to my name or address or dob..

6) We have a prepaid cell phone also!

I noticed that when you sign up for a seller account they need a credit card with a valid address. THE DEBIT card with my account is tied into my HOME ADDRESS (banned address). SHOULD I use a different card that I can buy at the store? OR can I use the debit card from my NEW bank account with the UPS Store address?
ARE cards linked to address somehow?
