Default Virtual Computers?

I am just wondering why different user accounts is the prefered method?

Why dont people use virtual machines?

That way you can have all your ebay windows open at once without having to switch between accounts and VPNs?

Not really a "preferred method" - it's just for tech-unsavvy people (LIKE ME ha), it's easier I guess - I have not tested out vmware or any of that yet.

I'm using vmware now but with different users since I still need to renew ip between users, once I figure how to get multiple ip's assigned to each machine without using a VPN then I'll probably switch to multiple machines rather than 1 with multiple users.

If all the "know how" folks here ever have a weekend stealth seminar I am so there. Such smart advice!

I did notice something, if I have more than one browser on my PC, even if I am not using it, it still records cookies and files so I really have to be sure to sweep them all every time.

a virtual machine is ok but, i don't see what is accomplishes except allow you to login to one account.. start the virtual machine to where you can change user accounts. The virtual machine uses the same Ethernet adapter on the computer, you will still have to change your mac address to get a new ip from your ISP anyways. Seems like a waste of time to me.

use a router, as the routers mac is what will be seen and the ip will change with each change of the Mac of the router. This i all i can say. Become familiar with visualization technology or buy several cheap computers from an asset auction or craigslist. Usea switch to get a ip for each node in the home network.

That's only 1 way of changing ip, there's also dial-up, some wi-fi cards and tethering which is what I use, I get a new ip in 10 seconds with the click of a button and the main benefit of using a virtual machine is that you never have to leave your main desktop, you can login to any ebay account and still access your main desktop/browser at the same time.
