Start calling a buyer at their work, and they start worrying about their bosses finding out. Lost items always seem to turn up after that, and buyers become more accessible.
The problem with these type of collection tactics is the buyer can pay you or return the item, and still leave NFB after that. With a $600 item I would go after them. Under $100 I would just move on.
