| KingDog | 02-22-2012 05:59 PM | The answer is that your network card has your own MAC ADDRESS!!
You can't use the same network card... |
| willicks | 02-22-2012 11:31 PM | Hello, no my question is still not answered fully. I do not want to be rude or sound like a jerk.. but can you just answer this simple question for me guys? I do not need to know about anything else but this, other then this I have a solid understanding.
I have a desktop computer that is hooked up via WIFI with a wireless adapter. If I change the ROUTER and obtain a new IP will I need to change computers? Will a mac address still be found on my computer even though it is hooked up via WIFI?
I created a stealth account before without changing my WIFI receiver, only changing the router was necessary. But now that I try to create more accounts changing the router seems to not be enough because I keep failing the reviews..
All I am asking is if they can look at the mac address of a computer over wifi. |
| ovidiu | 02-23-2012 01:17 AM | EVERY network adapter (wireless card, ethernet card, firewire card, all have MAC addresses, for example) has a MAC address. Doesn't matter whether you use wifi or a cable, they can, and do, look up your adapter's MAC address. |
Anyone bother addressing his products? Authentic or not, could be that selling the SAME product from the get go = auto-failure from AZ due to restrictions on item. |
| shuang14 | 03-13-2012 11:51 AM | I have another question, two computer using wifi, First one was used to log in amazon account, second one never log in amazon but browse amazon sometime, will I be caught if I use the second computer that never log in amazon, but just browse? will change ip, router, modem before try. |
| Rippedoffagain | 03-14-2012 01:49 AM | you can browse don't log in. |
On the same IP network - would agree with browsing only. |
| exranger | 03-14-2012 08:46 PM | They can't see the MAC address of your pc's network card if you are BEHIND the router, they can only see the MAC address of the hop that's closest to the internet (trying to simplify here). Everything online has a MAC address, switches, routers, you name it. But it's that last port out to the actual internet that is seen by the world.
In other words, if your computer's IP address is 192.168.1.(any number between 0 and 256), that is a class C IP. 50 million people have that at any one time. |

Or create buying accounts for feedback? |
| degsey69 | 03-15-2012 07:22 AM | I do not think some of the posters here grasp how cunning amazon is, which makes it way harder to open stealth accounts.
Basicaly they look at the same as ebay and then some, so they look at the ip address, thats easy fix, then they look at cookies, thats another easy fix, then they look at flash cookies, thats also easy. Now the hard part they look at the mac address of your lan card, now thats a little more difficult and they also can read from your browser, what PC setup you have as well so ok what do I do now, and then they also can tell what resident programes you are running on the PC now you are leaving a fingerprint.
So what do you, buy amazon ghost and READ IT all the way through digest it understand it, it seems that some posters who buy it have not read it throughly.
Personaly I find stealth accounts on amazon way easier than ebay because you are not fighting paypal as well. |

Just to refresh my understanding...MAC has no relevance to dial-up operation, correct? |

| slapped | 03-20-2012 02:57 PM | Guys,,Please FORGET the MAC Issue,,NO site can read your MAC address,,,The account is Most Likely being liked by a Method called Browser Fingerprinting,,,which is EXTREMELY Complex and gets more and more advanced EVERY day,,,I have written MANY Posts on this forum in reguards to this issue,,,Just search them out,,,The other reason may be the Products and the Velocity you are selling at that triggers the Suspensions,,,
If you want to stay on TOP of all the BEST Methods that Amazon and MOST other organizations (Including the CIA) to Identify computers and their Locations and Users follow what this Company: Palantir Technologies
The BEST Cyber security company,,,Used By Amazon, Paypal, U.S and MOST other Goverments, almost ALL Banks, ect, ect
To become a CLIENT of this company, like Amazon is almost IMPOSSIBLE |

| slapped | 04-08-2012 01:01 AM | It is Not ALL Browser Fingerprinting,,,Not by a Long shot,,But it is a HUGH Part of it,,There is also "User Profiling"(A Palantir Technologies SPECIALITY) that Plays another BIG Role in Linking accounts together,, |
| UnderBites08 | 04-08-2012 09:28 AM | Yeah I understand it is more then just browser fingerprinting. Can they see your mac or not? The stealth book says you can see the connecting devices mac and your Computer. So just wondering if this is accurate? |
| FandangoKango | 04-08-2012 09:52 AM | If you have big money to come through amazon then I suggest you get a few new routers. |

So just wondering if this is accurate? | On this Specific Note I disagree with Amazon Ghost,,,,I Believe that Amazon can see ONLY the connecting Devices MAC address and NOT your computers,,,Amazon would have to install some type of Script on YOUR Computer and by law they could not do that unless you gave them Permission.
Now there are those who say that you DO in fact give them permission when you Agree to Amazons "Terms and Conditions" Statement when opening an Account,,,,There are Several statements in those terms that CAN be interpeted to also incude and allow them to install Security scripts on your machine, but it is NOT 100% clear that they do or Do not,,
All that being said, the BEST way for you to approach Amazon is to ASSUME that the can read your computers MAC, and Plan accordingly, which is really NOT that hard,, |
| UnderBites08 | 04-08-2012 10:13 AM | Great post slapped. I feel as if you should approach Ebay the same way as Amazon. I just am still trying to make sure my browser prints and my "user profiling" is being approached right. | | All times are GMT -5. The time now is 03:25 PM. | |
