Default Are Amazon concerned over 1 refund?

Been doing a decent amount of sales on Amazon recently, well over 150 transactions.

Never had a problem with any metric on there and my feedback rate is above 25% on all transactions.

I have a buyer who received their item and has been a pain and wants a refund.

This will be the first time issuing a refund with Amazon. Will it cause a problem?

Are Amazon concerned over 1 refund out of hundreds of sales? Thanks

(Thought I would ask, as I hear they are picky)

Well firstly - a lot has to do on your category of sales.

Best to do the refund - will avoid the problem of A-to-Z claim.

1 refund should not cause you problems - have to look at bigger picture...returns do happen.

Refund shouldn't be a problem... Anything other than a refund should you delay the buyers refund may caused more problems than you want/need

I do refunds in a daily basis. Sometimes up to 2 refunds per day on each account with no proeblem at all.

Amazon only considers refunds bad if you have a lot of them relative to your sales.

They also sometimes look for messages sent through their system demanding a refund because the merchandise is counterfeit.

If you are selling legitimate items and have one refund, it should not matter in the slightest.

A-to-Z claims are looked at much more unfavourably.

Thanks for the replys. Got the refund done recently. It was only a small amount anyway. The buyer even left a good feedback too.

Never had an A-Z Claim on Amazon, but did notice that they have a metric to which they like you to stick below on A-Z, communication speed, etc...

But, no target for refund rate as far as I could see? So hopefully it will be ok.

(Amazon is becoming a great place to sell, even better than eBay)
