I have been able to remove the majority of negative feedback. Here are some great tips I have learned.
If a customer says that something is defective and at least a week has passed since they received it you can get the feedback removed. I say something like "The customer had the product for X amount of time before it was defective, I have had other feedback removed that was similar in nature" Also, make sure you put in 3-4 requests right away. What I noticed is that they are not assigned to the same person and sometimes you get a newbie that will remove feedback even when it is not warranted. Try sending requests late at night on the weekends.
Sometimes I keep putting in requests, up to 10 before someone will remove it, be persistent. If you can't get it removed then ask that it be escalated to the manager for removal. I was able to remove almost all my negative feedback. Out of 2000 feedbacks I only had 15 I could not remove. I probably had at least 50 removed.
Also, if a product is FBA and they customer complains that an item looks used you can get it removed every time. FBA will allow non-defective returns and then resale them as new. FBA knows they do this so I say something like this "I have an employee who ensures all items are brand new before shipping to FBA so there is no way a customer received a used item unless FBA allowed a non-defective return and then resold the item as new" With this you usually have to ask them to escalate them to a manager but they will remove it.
Also with FBA, if a customer says that they received it broken or damaged you can say that it must have been damaged in shipping since you have an employee that inspects them before shipping to Amazon.
If a customer leaves negative feedback that I can not get removed. I will refund their money without return and ship them a new item for free and make sure they have to sign for it. I put in a letter asking them to remove the feedback. Works very well.
You have to get creative with feedback removal too. I remember one lady complained because she said the that the charger that came with her Macbook did not work at first and that her husband had to fix it. I gave Amazon some bull story about how these chargers were unique and that a novice user might be confused on how to use it so this is a product review. They removed it.
I would be happy to help anyone that wants to get feedback removed. Just send me the text of what the customer said and I will tell you the best way to handle it.
