Default Different situation

Will try to keep it short. Canadian seller on Amazon Canada and US. 70% of sales last year were US fulfillment. Was having fun until Dec 28th. Up to that time we had done $1.196 million gross sales for 2012. (yes, even I said holy ****).

Our computer setup is what has me a bit worried.

Used a laptop and BB at home with just Bell Canada Modem, that is an easy fix. The office has 3 computers. The main one has the modem to router to computer setup with 1 inkjet printer connected to router. 2nd comp has laser printer and label printer wired to computer, 3rd comp has label printer hard wired to 3rd computer as well. The network to comp 2 and 3 is wireless.

Other than the inkjet printer, will Amazon have the IP addresses of the other 3 printers (laser and 2 label printers). Also, since we are in Canada (Southern Ontario), is our previous selling situation on both .ca and .com a red flag in itself.
Thanks in advance, and looking forward to learning most of what is posted here. Time to get back to work.

The printers are unlikely to cause you an issue. You should try to have accounts set up outside the province to avoid remote links based on location - pattern MUST be varied too.

Agreed, the printers should be fine. I have a similar setup to what you're talking about and it never caused me any issues.

Btw, are you saying that your account of that caliber was the one that was banned? Props for not hanging yourself after.

Yes account was that big. Had one in .ca and one in .com. Wanted to streamline the business (was only 3 of us) so I opened a second account on .ca and .com.
8 days later I got 4 emails shutting down all 4. It was 3 days after Christmas.

Didn't do the research about additional accounts; didn't think there would have been a problem (OPPS!!). The real kicker was in March when AZ U.S. sent us an email and a certificate saying congrats, you were in the top 25% of all sellers in the U.S. over Christmas. The good thing was that after 90 days they did release our money (almost $75K) and allowed the removal of our AFN inventory ($25K).

Just a real pain to send inventory into UPS store, move to storage unit, then have to bring back over the border into Canada. Now we have $142K in already paid inventory as AZ was doing 99% of our sales.

Thanks to many here, am learning a whole new business approach for Christmas 2013!!

PHD. I'm so glad I'm not the only one to have this stab in the heart. I also was sent an email from Az stating congrats on being in the top 27% in sales at Christmas and was shut down 3 days before this email was sent out. I felt like it was Az sticking their tongue out at me laughing. It was horrible! I feel for you!

Good stuff phd - way to be on top of the platform.

Just as a tip...for future posts, please space out the paragraph a bit better - a big blurb is kind of hard to read at times...

Thank you for your story Phd.

I didn't quite make it to your level but was starting to approach there. I also got my 50k back 90 days after it had happened.

Yeah getting the fba stuff back and having a place for it is one of the worst parts.. well besides losing a built up featured account =/
