I think you have a somewhat good shot at getting your account reinstated. I would definitely try to get as many positive feedbacks BEFORE you try to appeal. Try to get any negative feedbacks removed by Amazon if they are indeed feedbacks that violate Amazon's policies. If you have any pending orders, you want to ship them out in a timely manner.
And make sure you respond to customers within 24 hours always. This seems small, but is bigger in Amazon's eyes than most people realize.
If your account is too far in the crapper. Consider just starting new and not shipping pending packages.
