Yes. You should be familiar with accessing your modem through the web browser (regardless if you are operating stealth). This is about your home network security, so it would be in your interest to actually read the manual & secure your LAN network properly.

All information is contained within your router's manual. If you lost it, just google your router's make/model/firmware and there will be an online PDF version for you.

Most people just open a web browser and go to 192.168.1.1. Depending on your router's model, the address would differ.

I called amazon and said I am going to china for a week, and want to access my account from there.. what should I do ?

rep answering the phone suggested I should write to sellers-performance to let them know just in case there is a problem .. is this a good idea ?

Not a good idea.

Read this post from the beginning and use logmein as suggested. Try it out a few times before you go so you understand the routine of using it.

If you hit a blocked IP while in China, you will end up DOA.

I connect using my he hotspot so can't use logmein
