I'm not sure what you mean? Are you saying that if your stealth address is 123 Main St, your credit card could be registered to 4436 Sunshine Ave and Amazon will accept it?

i dont think so. the use of confirming the cc is also to confirm billing address matches avs on the card. which also confirms your address

you can also use a mismatch as the bin num first 6 has not be a prepaid all that has to match is the zip.

When opening a new seller account, from my experience as the charge is only $1 amazon don't require exact match for AVS. If one of the 3 is correct it will pass.

If this is true......there's no Amazon CC issue at all. This thread should be moved somewhere prying eyes cannot see......

But don't they authorize the card when they issue disbursements?

Yes they do, usually a $1 authorisation. they never take the dollar but pre authorise the card.

This is how it is for most transactions anywhere - the only thing that needs to match is Zip code. I've made many transactions with a different name and address before and these are regular transactions not small transactions. The billing address is verified through zip code and expiration date and sometimes the merchant also adds the 3 digit security code in the back which that has to match as well. Street and name is irrelevant for the most part.

This makes pre-paid cards completely irrelevant then.

You could have several stealths in your given zip code, if you live in a fairly heavily populated area.

Well you will be using the same credit card # across all those stealth accounts so they'll be linked.

Unless after verification of one stealth account, you then report it lost and have the bank give you another credit card with a new number... and then use the new number to create your second stealth account. Put in new street address, etc. so new credit card number but the same is the zip code, expiration date, and i'm not sure if the 3 digit security code in back changes as well.

But I just posted something asking if Amazon can link you if you get a totally new credit card # by reporting the card lost and stolen. Will they be able to link the new credit card number to the old one that was reported lost? Ofcourse name and street address will be entered as something different on amazon as explained earlier since the card companies doesn't verify street and name. Lol then that would make the 1st cc no good when it charges it before deposit payment.

Yes reporting it lost would make it no good. That's why we were assuming that all verification would be done before you report it lost.

I don't think they charge the card again after the verification of account in the beginning do they? I mean after they are ready to deposit into a valid working checking account, they don't look at the credit card, they just deposit into the checking account you gave them from what I remember.

I have credit cards with various issuers and my transactions go through with different name and street. If zip code or exp date or 3 digit is wrong then you will get a decline.

Try this out on some other online merchant - place an order with different street and name but correct exp. date / zip / 3 digit and see if the transaction is declined or not.

All on-line companies have different parameters for the AVS check.

They usually do a pre-authorisation before each disbursement.

Ah ok, I didn't think that. How does that work for those temporary VCCs people buy from someone on the forums as I understand people use them for verification. Is there a couple of dollars in the Virtual Credit Card to keep it active for a while for all the pre-authorizations that will happen?
